This post isn’t saying anything that VBAC Mum’s don’t already know. This post is for everyone else… who may be interested in understanding VBAC Mum’s a bit better. For those of you who have never met me, you may not know that VBAC’s are a passion of mine. Myself, I’ve had a VBAC and a […]

Does everyone need a doula

Today I thought I’d write about something that’s been on my mind for a while. Every time I hear the sentence “Every birthing mother needs a doula”, I cringe a little bit. I think what that person is trying to say is “If I was going to have a baby, I would need a doula”. […]

It’s my daughters 5th birthday tomorrow! This time 5 years ago, I’d been watching Getaway on TV and they had a segment about Petra. I got all grumpy because I’ve always wanted to visit Petra and they were showing it as I was 40 weeks & 3 days pregnant, so I thought it’d be ages […]

A typical Wednesday when you’re 8 months pregnant with baby number 4…

How to get through a Wednesday… Based on my yesterday… 1. Accidentally flash the chiropractor at your morning appt. 2. Park down the main street of Bunbury. Get out of the car. Try to get the kids to stand up when they get out of the car and wonder what on earth they’re doing. Realise […]

Back Pain During Pregnancy

My back is soooo sore today… So I made up my own version of a belly support using my Rebozo. I can’t say I knew exactly what I was doing as it’s the first time I’ve ever tied a Rebozo around myself (it’s much easier to see what I’m doing when it’s on someone else’s […]

While holidaying at my in-laws farm this week, I remembered when my hubby and I used to visit out here when we first started going out. He was 20 and I was 17 and I remember standing by myself in the bathroom staring into the mirror and wishing that my tummy was flat instead of […]

Does it traumatise kids if they see labour and birth?

If you're preparing for a positive birth experience, it's SO important to choose a wonderful, positive, informative birth education program to help you fully understand birth and mentally prepare yourself and your partner for labour, birth and parenthood.

HypnoBirthing is a full birth education program, which explains exactly what happens with your body and baby during labour and birth. Knowing this will allow you to work with your labour, and often love the experience, rather than just enduring it. HypnoBirthing is a full, holistic birth education program which runs as one 2.5 hour class a week for 5 weeks.

....................................

What is HypnoBirthing®?

HypnoBirthing® is a full childbirth education course and so much more.

Throughout the course, we discuss what your body will be doing during labour and birth and why. We talk about what your baby will be doing during labour and birth and why. The course explains how to work with your body’s birthing process and natural expulsive reflex, to allow your body to do what it was designed to do and does so well. It teaches anatomy, breathing techniques, how different positions, interventions and situations help or hinder the labour and birth process.

It teaches your partner about birth and gives them confidence and tips (and even a cheat sheet!) on how to best support you.

It teaches the history of birth and the medical system.

It explains how fear and stress affects your body’s ability to birth and also affects your baby’s oxygen supply. It’s important to face your fears and work through them and release them, so they don’t become an issue during your labour and birth. HypnoBirthing® helps you do this.

It discusses breastfeeding, care providers, water births, hospital births, home births, cord clamping, scans tests and your options… it goes over SO much over the space of 5 weeks.

But the biggest thing you’ll notice isn’t the specifics of what it teaches. The biggest thing that you’ll notice is what all this information changes your mindset about birth. HypnoBirthing® helps you get back to your instincts. By the end of the course, you will notice that you will be feeling SO much more confident. SO much more informed. And SO much more excited about your upcoming birth than you ever thought possible. It will really ignite a passion inside you, that you may have never realised you had.

And that’s something that you will take with you throughout the rest of your pregnancy, your birth, your post partum period, parenthood, and the rest of your life.

....................................

Private classes are also available to be booked any time and can also be booked by clicking the link above.
