When I was about 15 weeks pregnant with my fourth daughter, I completed my training to become a HypnoBirthing practitioner. (I may as well make the most of the spotlight while I’ve got your attention… yes I do have spaces available if you’re in the south west of Western Australia and would like to learn […]

The story of my “I did it” moment, after my VBA2C birth. When looking through my Facebook newsfeed, I see so many photos of birthing Mumma’s holding their babies for the first time… a huge smile on the Mum’s face… a triumphant look… a happy look… a look of amazement and happiness and love and excitement […]

(Includes reviews of the carriers I’ve used at the bottom of this post. I’m not an expert by any means… I’m learning as I go, but I thought I’d share my experience). When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I wanted to get a baby carrier. I knew nothing about them, but I knew […]

Since having our fourth child a few months ago, I’m always getting asked what it’s like to have 4 kids. So I thought I’d share my thoughts with you all 🙂 In summary… I love having 4 kids! I find it easier than it sounds… And here’s why… One Child. When I first brought my first baby […]

It’s my daughters 5th birthday tomorrow! This time 5 years ago, I’d been watching Getaway on TV and they had a segment about Petra. I got all grumpy because I’ve always wanted to visit Petra and they were showing it as I was 40 weeks & 3 days pregnant, so I thought it’d be ages […]

Motherhood… A nappy, a bath, a feed, a spew, a smile and a cuddle.

Bub is now 5 weeks old I had plans for today. I was actually kinda organised too! Everyone was dressed and ready… Then I heard a noise from bub. She’s done a nappy. A big one by the sound of it. I go to change her nappy and realise it’s somehow shot out the side/top […]

What does a high body temperature actually do?

My poor little baby bear (my 1 year old daughter) isn’t well and hasn’t been herself this week. She’s normally so happy, energetic and independent, but this week she’s been sort of miserable and has been requesting a few more cuddles than usual. That’s the “professional” way of explaining it anyway. The reality is that […]

Why is my baby crying? Trust your instincts…

When I was pregnant, I found that every second person was commenting on how I would soon have to get used to not getting much sleep. Now, to put it mildly, I had some very uncomfortable pregnancies, so hearing that didn’t really worry me because I wasn’t getting any sleep anyway. But I did go […]

Baby books lied to me…

Baby books, you tricked me! I specifically remember reading that babies started sleeping through the night after a couple of months. Pfffffftttttt!!!!!! I have a 3 year old who STILL wakes up 2-3 times a night. Plus a 5 year old who stays up as late as possible every night, then wakes up as soon […]

While holidaying at my in-laws farm this week, I remembered when my hubby and I used to visit out here when we first started going out. He was 20 and I was 17 and I remember standing by myself in the bathroom staring into the mirror and wishing that my tummy was flat instead of […]

Does it traumatise kids if they see labour and birth?

If you're preparing for a positive birth experience, it's SO important to choose a wonderful, positive, informative birth education program to help you fully understand birth and mentally prepare yourself and your partner for labour, birth and parenthood.

HypnoBirthing is a full birth education program, which explains exactly what happens with your body and baby during labour and birth. Knowing this will allow you to work with your labour, and often love the experience, rather than just enduring it. HypnoBirthing is a full, holistic birth education program which runs as one 2.5 hour class a week for 5 weeks.

....................................

What is HypnoBirthing®?

HypnoBirthing® is a full childbirth education course and so much more.

Throughout the course, we discuss what your body will be doing during labour and birth and why. We talk about what your baby will be doing during labour and birth and why. The course explains how to work with your body’s birthing process and natural expulsive reflex, to allow your body to do what it was designed to do and does so well. It teaches anatomy, breathing techniques, how different positions, interventions and situations help or hinder the labour and birth process.

It teaches your partner about birth and gives them confidence and tips (and even a cheat sheet!) on how to best support you.

It teaches the history of birth and the medical system.

It explains how fear and stress affects your body’s ability to birth and also affects your baby’s oxygen supply. It’s important to face your fears and work through them and release them, so they don’t become an issue during your labour and birth. HypnoBirthing® helps you do this.

It discusses breastfeeding, care providers, water births, hospital births, home births, cord clamping, scans tests and your options… it goes over SO much over the space of 5 weeks.

But the biggest thing you’ll notice isn’t the specifics of what it teaches. The biggest thing that you’ll notice is what all this information changes your mindset about birth. HypnoBirthing® helps you get back to your instincts. By the end of the course, you will notice that you will be feeling SO much more confident. SO much more informed. And SO much more excited about your upcoming birth than you ever thought possible. It will really ignite a passion inside you, that you may have never realised you had.

And that’s something that you will take with you throughout the rest of your pregnancy, your birth, your post partum period, parenthood, and the rest of your life.

....................................

Private classes are also available to be booked any time and can also be booked by clicking the link above.
